October: A Few Park Pictures
Toward the middle of Fall, we found a great new playground fairly close to our house. Jason went with us one day and got some great pictures with the new camera. We had a lot more pictures, but we narrowed them down to our three favorites.

Unfortunately, we found this playground only a few weeks before it became too cold to play outside for long. But we'll be back in the Spring!

October: Our Little Musician
We are all convinced that Jack is going to be a musician. He already loves to play the piano, the drums, and the guitar. Nonna's house is one of the best places to play music.

And for Jack ... everything becomes a drum! Here is drumming in the kitchen floor with Pipaw!

I know every parent thinks their child is talented and amazing, but I seriously think this boy is going to be talented. He already seems to have a great sense of rhythm and he loves to dance. Lately, he even wanders around the house singing. It's so sweet! Most of the time we can't understand what he's singing, but every now and then we'll catch familiar words and tunes. Some of his favorite songs are "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star," "Jesus Loves Me," "Deep and Wide," "Head and Shoulder, Knees, and Toes," and "The B-I-B-L-E."

October: Pumpkin-Carving Party
My friend, Candace, invited us to a pumpkin-carving at her Mom's farm one Friday night in October. At first I wasn't sure Jason was going to be able to come, but his plans changed at the last minute. I was so happy! Candace and her family know how to throw a great party. The setup was awesome, their farm is amazing, and the food and fellowship were fabulous! We had to leave (for a long drive home with a tired toddler) well before the pumpkin-carving started, but I'm so glad we were able to go!
Being a farm, they had lots of great "farm" toys for the kiddos ... and plenty of room for them to play. Jack enjoyed "driving" the tractor, pushing/pulling the wagon, and riding the tricycle! He had a blast!

Two of his favorite things in one ... pumpkins ... and lights!!

Anybody who knows Candace knows she is the picture queen. She made all of the guests pose for a picture when they first arrived. I'm so glad she did because this is one of my very favorite family pictures!
To see the amazing pumpkins that people carved at the party, stop by Candace's blog.

New Camera
In October, Jason bought a new camera. It's a Canon T1i DSLR for those photography buffs out there. I was skeptical, but it is truly amazing! We'll never have to pay for professional photos ever again! Here are just a few he took to test it out!

Playground Fun
Jack loves to play outside. He'd spend every second outside if we'd let him. Unfortunately, our yard is not the most conducive for an active toddler ... way too sloped. So on pretty Saturdays, we like to head to one of several playgrounds in our area. I think our favorite is the playground at our church.
Trying to climb the monkey bars ... with a little help from Mommy ...

Round and round on the tire swing ...

He loves to walk along this railing that runs the length of the playground and count as he goes. We must have done four or five times. So funny!

Snack break ... It was getting pretty hot (as evidenced by his red face)!

Sliding is so much fun!
