ParentLife Cover Photo Shoot

For anybody that might not know, I (Jodi) am the editor of ParentLife magazine. I was shocked (but completely honored) when our Graphic Designer, Claire, asked me if we could put Jack on an upcoming fall cover of ParentLife. Knowing that he's the cutest child in the world ... I couldn't say no, right?

So in mid-July (in 100 degree heat I might add), we layered Jack up in long sleeves and overalls and headed out to Jason's parent's farm for a photo shoot.

Melanie of The Velvet Trunk took some amazing photos, especially since Jack was hot and not in the mood to smile. He wasn't cranky ... just subdued. I can't say that I blame him considering I was sweating to death in shorts and a tank top. Poor guy! He did great! And Melanie was so good with him and was so patient!

There were a lot of photos ... so I just picked my favorite ones to post!(It was hard to narrow them down!) These photos are priceless to our family. Jack is wearing his dad's overalls (from when he was a toddler) sitting on his grandfather's tractor on his great-grandfather's farm. Amazing ... is all I have to say!
