The Zoo

My (Jodi's) mom and dad were so sweet to buy us a season pass to the Nashville Zoo. We are so excited! Having a pass makes going to the zoo so much easier and worth it. You don't have to stand in a long line at the gate and you can stay as long or as short as you need to without worrying if you've gotten your money's worth out if it! It's perfect for a family with a toddler.

We've been twice already this spring. I was hoping Jack would be very excited about the animals this year ... but he's not so much ... yet! But it's still lots of fun! He enjoys being outside! He likes the animals that are loud and move around a lot. The others, he doesn't seem to care about yet.

Lookin' for some elephants ...

Meerkats ... believe it or not ... "meerkat" (or something that sounds kinda like it) is one of the words in Jack's limited vocabulary!

Checkin' out the tigers with Daddy ...

His teeth must have been bothering him because we couldn't get him to take his fingers out of his mouth for this picture for anything!

He does get at least a little bit excited about the ducks.

Nonna came with us on one of the visits and snapped this photo of our close-up encounter with the meerkats. He liked being in the bubble so much that he threw a fit when we had to get out. But he got over it quickly!

In the reptile house, Jack was more fascinated with the signs that were lit up than the snakes and lizards!

Watchin' the zebras and ostriches with Mommy ...

In our two visits so far we haven't had a chance to play on the awesome playground, go in the petting zoo, or ride the carousel. I'm looking forward to lots more trips over the next year!
