We started the trip off by playing on the playground, going for a walk around the pond/nature trail, and enjoying a picnic lunch before heading inside. This is probably the only time that we were all in one place for any length of time! It was a beautiful day for a picnic!!

The Discovery Center has a water play area with boats and switches that turn things on and off. They have stools for little guys (like Jack) to stand on. It was the first thing Jack went for and he loved it! I eventually had to drag him away (kicking and screaming ... and soaking wet ... I might add) just to convince him that there were lots of other fun things to do.
This was a place that you could "dig" for fossils! Jack enjoyed playing in the rocks!
Row, Row, Row Your Boat ...
If you saw my last post, you'll probably remember Jack's obsession with sticks! Well ... he loved these really big sticks! :-)
Amber lookin' rugged in a 'coon-skin cap ...

Autumn "driving" an old truck ... I wish Jack had made it around to this. He would have loved to drive. There was also a big firetruck that you could sit in and even fireman gear you could wear. Jack and I never made it to that section though!

We were too busy ... delivering mail in "Tiny Town," the toddler section of the Discovery Center. Jack could have spent hours playing in all the little shops. He's really into imitating what he sees everyone do these days so this was a blast for him!
Cooking away ... not a skill he learned from me!!
Checking out the groceries from "Kroger"
Looking for just the right tool at "The Home Depot"
Once we ventured out of Tiny Town, Jack found a new obsession ... a train he could "drive." I'm pretty sure I had to drag him away from this eventually too!
My girls ... shopping at the "Farmer's Market"A grand time was had by all. Jack was toast and fell asleep in the car on the way home. It was definitely worth the drive to Murfreesboro. If you leave in Middle Tennessee, it's a great place to go. I highly recommend it! I'm hoping to go back very soon. It's also a great way for Jack to get to hang out with his cousins! I'm so thankful that my parents and my brother and his family live so close!
